Volunteer Support

We play games, read books… it’s a time for them to not think about their illness. What we do is not about their illness, it’s about them.” – Hope Volunteer, Breanna Yocum
The support of volunteers can be immeasurably helpful. Every Hope volunteer receives a Level II background check as well as TB tests and special training.
Hope volunteers may help provide:
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Assistance with errands
- Help with light housekeeping
- Respite care for tired caregivers
- Companionship for children who are ill
- Fun for siblings who need more play time
